This page contains key artifacts from this longitudinal effort.
COURSE DESIGN DOCUMENT FOR "NAVIGATING DIVERSE BELIEFS" COURSE
EDUC 765 centered around conceiving and creating a novel course blueprint through research and peer review. The design document below provides descriptions, analyses, and references related to a seminar-style course on a method called "Street Epistemology," (SE) a conversational method for engaging critically and respectfully with a diversity of beliefs. As conceived, this method is adapted for a college campus diversity initiative. I call this course "Navigating Diverse Beliefs."
ENABLING OBJECTIVES MATRIX
This EO matrix is the culmination of a goal and task analysis for the instruction of the SE method, the core procedure learners will learn in "Navigating Diverse Beliefs." The EO matrix below presents a single terminal objective and demonstrates the relationship between enabling objectives that compose it, with an emphasis on instructional delivery. It was referenced to make the supporting content (see next section).
SUPPORTING CONTENT
This supporting content was crafted by consulting the EO matrix and designing an activity to achieve the objective. This activity consists of a problem-based overview for learners to engage with, followed by a demonstration of the SE method in an audio/ visual format. The script for the demo is contained in the PDF file.
